Full Success...my link put us over!

Yes...the ball will be branded.

Oh, happy day. This proves that perception is reality. It doesn't matter what can be proven or disproved in a court of law. In this country, you're guilty until proven innocent, regardless of what ideals we may boast of. This is why character matters most, people.

Bonds never humbled himself. He never stood up for himself and said "I will be tested anytime you want to prove you all wrong." He broke the all-time home run record as a loaded, 'roided up player. The asterisk on the ball will be a reminder of that--for all time.

Vote on 756 Ball

I know ya'll deserve better than this but I love it.

Fashion Designer Marc Ecko bought Barry Bonds' 756th record-breaking homerun ball for $750K and has decided to let the public vote on what he's going to do with it. Either a) bestow it to the Hall of Fame, b) brand it with an asterisk, or c) shoot it into space.

While I think that it would be fitting to blast it into space so that no one will ever see it again, I feel like a bigger statement would be made "from the public to Bonds," that we see how tainted that record is" by branding it.

Careful What You Wish For

The Blogging Gods have answered. And it is good.

On Saturday morning, a angel brought a message to my Inbox. Fry's Electronics was having a deal on a Samsung (my brand!) BW205 20" LCD monitor. It's even Consumer Reports-recommended. Best part: under $200 with rebate. Jackpot.

I'll be back in business before you know it.

Quick Update & Explanation

I've been AWOL, recently, because I'm in the middle of a PC transition--kind-of.

I've moved from one job to another. I'm without a laptop now (Desktop at work and home). That set-up is not ideal (yet) for my preference of constructing blog entries. Bryan's been begging for an update. Okay, he sent one email; not exactly begging. But, I imagined him down on his knees and in tears, when I read the email.

An good update and regular post schedule will require me to re-think my home PC set-up. Right now, it's connected to our TV and it's just not a good place to write. I need to get the PC moved over to the desk. In order to do that, I've got to get a flat-screen monitor to go with the PC. I haven't seen the right one come along yet (Samsung 740bx or 940bx or a Dell possibly) at the right price. Once that happens, I assure you, we'll be back in action here at the Y Stigma blog.

If anyone had any hot leads on where to get a used LCD monitor, that's decent, let me know. I've been scouring the CriagsList, NewEgg, PriceWatch, etc. Nothing that I like yet.
